The World Cyber Sports Assembly is an upcoming multi-game competition event to be held every Winter and Summer. It is said to be the spiritual successor of Gauntlet's Global Competitive Cyber Games (2004-2010) by many media outlets. It will be produced by World Sports and Entertainment Broadcasting Production, Endemol, and Ringier.


It was announced after the showmatch between Team Russia and Team Sweden at the 2017 WSA Winter Games that later that year, due to the success of the turn out of the showmatch, a new type of multi-sport competition.

Games for the Stockholm event include CSGO, DotA 2, StarCraft 2, and Gran Turismo Sport.

United States broadcast rights bid war

It was reported that BronzePlanet International and Axiom Sports Productions have bid to broadcast the new Cyber Sports Assembly games.

BronzePlanet bid

BronzePlanet is said to use their two main channels, BronzePlanet, and Gauntlet to broadcast the games. The bid is said to cost $1.6 million.

Axiom bid

Axiom Entertainment has said that they'll bid $1.3 million dollars to air the Cyber Sports Assembly. They'll air it on all of their main channels, Axiom Select and AxiomTechTV will air most of the games.

NickFamily USA bid

NickFamily USA have announced that they'll bid for the games as well, with NickFamily, NFGaming, and NickFamily GAS airing the games if they are chosen. The bid is said to cost $2 billion.
