The Qwerty Channel is a new television channel and a joint venture between Derphox Networks and Viacom. The channel will mainly air nicktoons and original programming but will feature programs from other networks as well. The network is expected to launch on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 and will have a test showcase October 9, 2015 on Teen Nick where some programs will air. The branding is expected to be revealed to the public on Saturday, October 10, 2015 along with some bumpers.
In late 2014, Derphox Networks began plans for a network for people of all ages called Qwerty. It was later changed to The Qwerty Channel. Viacom was approached for programming, to which Viacom said yes. The plans were announced to the public in early 2015 with a promise of launch in fall of that year.
