Prohibition is an American crime drama television series created by Chaossy for Vision. It is being produced by Typewriter Productions. It was originally canceled before filming began in April 2014, but in March of 2017, it was announced that the project was to be put back into production for a March 2018 release.

Production[]

In January of 2014, Vision executives and Jimmy Dent were talking about making a live action show about crime in the 1920s, and it was greenlit. Writing started soon after, and a cast was picked out but before filming began, there was already too much money put into the pilot episode that the project was canceled.

In March of 2017, however, Vision executives and Chaossy from RaGE Media were in talks of reviving the project for a March 2018 release, and they agreed on a budget and writing began for the pilot episode. Other writers, mainly of 1% fame were also writing for the show. Writing finished in May of 2017, and a cast was picked out, and then filming began in Georgia in July of 2017 until October of that year. After a few months break, in mid-January the crew and cast flew to Vancouver to film the seasons last three episodes. A few scenes were also filmed on location in New York City.

The opening sequence was filmed with a Betacam SP.

A 30 second teaser trailer was released on YouTube in early October 2017, and was shown in the late night blocks of Vision. Daft Punk music was used in the promo.
