LT Fan teams up with Cyber-Akuma to conquer both Metro City and Nicktropolis. Now, warriors from both Capcom and Nick Fanon have to work together to defeat them.
Y-Guy Studios and Capcom originally planned to make it a standalone Nick Fanon fighting game. However, they felt that Nick Fanon needed a vehicle to transition into a fighting game, so they decided to make it a crossover in the same vein as SNK vs. Capcom.

The game was widely praised for it's smooth controls, fun characters, and an overall classic Capcom feel. Some critics, however, negatively responded the 2D sprite-based graphics, one reviewer going as far as stating "The graphics make it clear that the developer's stuck in 1998".
