Death is the pilot episode and the first episode of the first season of the animated television series Spooks. In the episode a cowardly guy, Aaron Patterson dies and is selected to be the Grim Reaper's apprentice. However, his first mission is to capture a demon that possessed an entire house.
The October 30, 1999 airing of "Death" received a 3.4 million viewers in American households together. References to the episode have been mentioned in many more future episodes. This episode has been made available on DVD, and other forms of home media, including on demand streaming on Hulu Plus.
Synopsis[]
A fearful man, Aaron Patterson dies after being thrown into an abandoned grave. He meets the grim Reaper and learns that he has became his new apprentice. The two find themselves fighting a demon who has possessed an old mansion.
Plot[]
The story starts at a local college. Aaron walks outside holding a bunch of papers in an unorganized way, looking nervous. He is then approached by a group of jockeys who forcefully commands Aaron to give them his bag. Aaron becomes worried of what they might do with his bag, so the jocks hold him down as one of them grabs the bag. The leader of the jocks pours out the bag finding a nude picture of a girl. Angrily finding out that the nude picture was the jock leader's girlfriend, the group start beating Aaron up, and they then drag him into the forest.
