Horror Month[]

Starting in 1997 on the block, Horror Month was a staple of the then-AniNick lineup. In 2000, the block ended but the channel brought back Horror Month as an overnight block on Friday nights in 2006 through 2010, then from 2011 to 2013, the block was not shown due to local events happening. In 2014, the block was brought back as a Saturday night/Sunday early morning block.

In 2016, it was announced that every AnimeNation channel will carry either three hours or five hours of horror programming overnight during the month of October.

AniWeekend[]

In 2016, after the international success of Horror Month, AnimeNation International announced that a 9 hour version of Horror Month will air on Friday nights or Saturday nights into Saturday morning, or Sunday morning, respectively. It'll start launching on international channels in December. AnimeNation Canada will produce their own block in-house.
