SurgeAnime is an American/Latin America television channel devoted for anime. It is available in 12.5 million in Latin America, and 83 million households in the US.
AnimeNation launched on December 6, 2014 on WNBC in New York, a day later it launched in Maine. AnimeNation planned to expand nationally by April 20, 2015. It also plans to expand into a 24 hour channel by the end of summer in 2015. In late March, Sunday's AnimeNation schedule was removed for unknown purposes. In late June, it was announced that on July 2 that the block will be transformed into a 24/7 channel.
There was trouble with the channel getting online, so NBC allowed AnimeNation to have a early morning block on Saturday early mornings from 4am - 6am until the channel is fully functional. It went live at 5:30am on August 2 with an airing of Gundam.
In 2015, NBCUniversal pulled it's funding from the channel, and the channel is finding someone to buy it's share. One day later, Curiousgorge66 Networks bought NBCUniversal's share. On December 7, 2015, the channel rebranded itself, and on December 17, it was renamed AnimeNation.
An Latin American feed was launched in the summer of 2016 that has the same programming as the United States feed.
AnimeNation rebranded on December 2nd, 2017 as SurgeAnime.
The schedule is shown here. Every month, the channel gets new programming.
You know what to do.
